Maybe im ignorant but I don't see many foreign dishes served with the typical veg we use. Carrots, peas, cauliflower, green beans, served on the side of your plate. Steamed or boiled and unspiced so probably looks very plain to some but obviously drown it in gravy and it becomes both healthy AND comfy.
