this, old is just copying american trends. At least the new asian identity isn't just copying. Even if they're all influencing each other in certain ways, it's better to have a cultural identity unique to your region. I'm no expert but maybe a lot of kpop style is derived from japanese idol fashion, but that's miles better than them all dressing like americans. Fashion, art, and music are terrible things to globalize
