One of the biggest forage crop farms in the US is owned by a Saudi. Because when Saudi Arabia realized that growing their own crops drained their non-renewable aquifers way too quickly, they decided to farm in the US instead, and drain the US Ogallala Aquifer instead, and import feed that way.

Saudis give a shit about their environment. It is far more likely that the Saudi owner is too lazy to manage his farm so he outsourced it to the US. Despite all the Death to America!, Arabs have this weird obsession with anything American, which they think is high quality/prestigious.
