Just got a 20% raise and a promotion, took like a year and since I don’t earn much that income hike puts me just above the US Janitor tier. Can’t really complain though since nobody with my degree is earning this type of cash 4 years out of college.

It’s pure shit. There aren’t a lot of jobs, businesses don’t have incentives to pay much since there are many competing for the same position so salaries are fucking garbage.

i got laid off. i suck at coding but i don't know what else to do. i don't have a cs degree either but somehow lucked into a job after years of neetdom. it seems impossible to get a coding job unless you are some giga tryhard with an impressive portfolio and leetcode problems under your belt. i don't know what to do.
