Students do get free laptops sometimes but is dell slop at best. Not complaining though but windows makes it slow as fuck since they get the lowest specs possible. If Linux were mainstream in education it wouldn't be a problem.

what happend at the local hospital, they specced some simple tablet for each bed, mounted on a swing arm with a basic browser, yt, facebook etc. by the time hospital opened facebook and yt had bloated so much the tablets couldnt load it.

Apple has really got device management for corpos. If someone steals one they can brick it remotely and locate it with gps.
