I am brown with Native/African/European admixture and I am described as anything from West Asian to North African to Hispanic to European.
People ask me if I am Saudi or Egyptian or Greek or Italian, I even had a Korean lady ask me if I was Indonesian once and that really threw me for a loop. But maybe that was because I have an Arabic tattoo. And I once had a guy ask if I was Turkish. And it's not just because I am in Korea because in America people have repeatedly asked if I am Arabian although again maybe that's because of my Arabic tattoo.
I guess the cool thing is I can basically do whatever I want and nobody cares, I mean most people in this world are tanned so if I learned a language well I could pass as a local in many, many nations...apparently.

Anyway I'm Algerian (second-gen) and people just assume I'm whatever wog ethnicity is dominant in the immediate area. Italian Greek Lebo Turk depending on the suburb. Old men in Auburn will speak to me in Turkish and I get questions in lebanese Arabic sometimes.
