It's so strange (and sad) that in the modern age theyve become like modern day Cajuns.
Once a distinct racial group that has been completely subsumed by Angloization.
They no longer speak their own language, have their own traditions or indeed distinct identity, just like Cajuns. They e been erased as a people and I think that's sad because I love the Irish of old.
