Most people (especially German women) think like this. It's also the official line every politician has to parrot.

Personally I'm glad we got to do something memorable while we were at the height of power in relation to the rest of the world.
It also lead to the building of some cool weapons, tanks, planes and can also be used as a good base for films and video game scenarios with iconic enemy factions.
Basically it was great theater

I don't think any German man who is center or center-left politically would ever justify Nazi Germany or see it in a good light, but when you get to people on the center-right to far-right there's probably plenty that have hidden sympathies.
I personally know some people today that have "mellowed out" over time but used to listen to neo-nazi bands like Stahlgewitter in their youths, which is especially common in rural areas and they tend to end up on the center-right or vote AfD.

Also one of the German youths I knew that was into neo nazi music and was very anti-immigrant still had sex with immigrant women from Turkey and Poland and also liked Rihanna so you can't generalize it I guess lol.
He in the end joined the police and had a child with a blonde blue eyed woman so that at least makes sense I guess
