For sure but France had already transitioned to the two children family during the 19th century while German families continued to have three children into the 20th. However I don't think demographics were responsible for the fuck up that was the Battle of France

Manpower wasn't a problem honestly
It was a combination of political and economic crisis that was the biggest issue in 1940
