>>213634573 (OP) Yes. I get that it’s semi common nowadays, but there just seems to be so little point in anything. Bare subsistence is now so bearable (physically, not existentially) that the ridiculous effort and luck needed to actually ‘succeed’ conventionally is disproportionate to the effort required. Why bother?
Or at least that’s how I feel. I dunno; maybe I’m coping. Personally I’m more of a ‘I wish I could be a genius scientist’ sort of person vs the harem of sexy women sort, which means the luck factor is more predominant (and ofc, lacking, for me). So it makes it even harder to bother. I dunno. I think in a great sense it’s always been shit .
I am actually very happy living my simple hermit life

>>213640389 You bring up an interesting point, anon What *is* conventional nowadays?
The older I get and the more I see the world, it just fucks with me how "unconventional" everything is What our parents had back then seems like luxuries for us now
I'm a "weirdo" in every sense of the word - but I still want what everyone else have, a house, a car, a wife and kids
