Just finished watching the series today. The first season is kino, the second season after Laura's murder is solved drops in quality significantly. The first season has beautiful rainy landscapes of the forested mountains of Washington, very atmospheric and comfy, and well thought-out relationships between the characters.

To be honest, I liked the X-files better.
