I looked it up, apparently Nova Scotia has a temporary ban on hiking because of extreme forest fire risk and also apparently that Jeff Evely guy is some sort of instigator that loves challenging stuff in the courts as he earlier this summer was charged with vandalizing some war memorial because he thought some other law was stupid (he sounds pretty based ngl, Canada has some retarded laws).
