lots of jobs that are so remote or so specialiced its the same crew that travel all over the country or even europe or the world + shipping or oil rigs. they work weeks on living in barracks or hotels then weeks to months off. you could easily live in such place then. i partially went that route, most of my jobs are in a certain area up to 3h drive away so it doesnt really matter where i live in that region i have to drive anyway.

everyone on it had to travel by ferry to buy gas and cheaper groceries at least once every two weeks
