could you live on an island in the Baltic sea?
>>213644059 (OP)With fibre internet or maybe starlink, yes.
Yes, the archipelago islands around Finland and Sweden are the most sovlful places on Earth.
>>213644202What do these people do for a living?
>>213644470Those are cabins most people donโt live like that.
>>213644470Few people live there year round, and if they do they are usually retired people. Most of the houses are just summer cottages.
>>213644059 (OP)if you were a rich foreigner then yes
the people of the land (maarahvas) can't afford it
>>213644470lots of jobs that are so remote or so specialiced its the same crew that travel all over the country or even europe or the world + shipping or oil rigs. they work weeks on living in barracks or hotels then weeks to months off. you could easily live in such place then. i partially went that route, most of my jobs are in a certain area up to 3h drive away so it doesnt really matter where i live in that region i have to drive anyway.
>>213644993>3h driveLook at the picture you massive retard, you canโt drive on water. Those are obviously summer cabins.
>>213644059 (OP)if i'd had the utilities and a reliable sources for food hell yeah
my uncle lived on an island of 400 people
it had 2 stores, no gas station
everyone on it had to travel by ferry to buy gas and cheaper groceries at least once every two weeks
seems like a boomer fantasy where maybe it makes sense if you're already a millionaire
>>213645285You can call in "food" boats that will deliver food and utilities on a regular basis (though I'm not sure how that works during the winter when the sea is often frozen) but it's expensive as shit.
>>213645575Donโt people just buy in food for weeks at the time whenever they go to the mainland?
>>213645617Many do, though that won't work during the winter unless you got a boat able to drive through ice, which barely any standards boats are able to. No idea what the few people that live year round do during the winter desu.
>>213645041read my post retard.
typical zoomers to only read headlines and the last line.
>>213645575does fishing works, maybe get meat and bread or whatever from local farmers/close shops, do the groceries every 2 weeks and as a single person you're set up
it would be financially exhausting as a poormanian in Scandinavia but once i've made it i'll seriously consider purchase an island, some land, a little house or barrack, boat and a car
