There’s a contingent of Israelis that actually want the military aid to either be no strings attached cash or to not exist at all because American aid cripples the Israeli military industrial complex.
The rest of israelis don’t mind because American military equipment is considered better and the American military industrial complex uses Israel as their testing ground.
The IDF no longer uses the galil as its standard rifle and uses American bought M4s and M16s which is a bit a of shame because galils are cool.

It was a big point of discussion before the war broke out, the gist of it is that we are rich enough to buy the equipment without receiving aid, in addition to the fact that this aid essentially lets america cripple our army if it truly wanted to, which is obviously not very good.
There is already a push to build new manufacturing facilities in Israel in addition to those that are already being built, 2028 will be the last year Israel ever receives American military aid.
