not particularly clean, lots of homeless, rents kinda expensive cause still california, lightrail is trash, no good way of reaching the airport, lots of leftists
but even despite of that i can access just about everything by just walking a few minutes, target is only a few minutes walk, there's a nice boba place i like to order from and sit at, i can walk ten minutes to go to oldtown sac, there's a nice mall around the kings' stadium, the "chinatown" has a very good thai restraunt and the new station seafood is amazing chinese food that you can access just by hopping on the lightrail
i can walk to the amtrak and go anywhere i want in california without having to drive, there's the baseball stadium you can also walk to that i like catching a ball balls, the theatre is nice to go to
there people here are actually quite grounded and you dont have much of the insanity of sf or la
i quite like the church here and the people who go to it
the city is big enough to feel lively but it's not really overwhelming and actually feels kinda homely
i volunteer helping with the homeless and met good people as well doing that
the library is readily accessible and decent enough
phone service is good and i have fast internet
my building is well run and it is generally kept tidy and have pleasant neighbors
i could go on but i kinda like it here even despite the flaws
