That’s easy, science hasn’t disproven the existence of God, and never will. Science is concerned with the material universe and can only experiment on that material universe.

If god gave humanity original sin, why would he come back to absolve it.

Because in Christianity God is three person, the father, the son and the holy spirit. Jesus is talking to the father, not himself. I understand the Trinity might seem odd, but the bible is filled with oddities. If God is the creator of the universe and is capable of doing all these miracles then I don't understand why the idea of him being of three people is seen as some outlandish thing.

God didn't give the original sin. The original sin isn't a punishment or a mistake more so a consequence by the first humans who chose to disobey God. As God is a merciful God he offers a way to forgive sin and bridge the separation between him and us with his sacrifice on the cross.
