Yes because American integration forces you to become and act white, even if you're not white passing. Most 2nd generation American immigrants eventually becomes an emotionally soft, chubby, labubu collecting consumerist that is bad with money.
I've heard several stories of Russian Mountain Jews who immigrate to Israel, and then to America because they like making money. Many of them return to Israel while their kid is growing up because they don't want to turn the kid into an "American softie", since they care about macho character development a lot in their communities
