You've been ironically posting him for what feels like years now. I think Zeihan realizes that his audience by this point is entirely comprised of hate-watchers.

One possible reason is that American media toned down the "China collapse" headlines after China and America became friends in the 1970's, it was only after China started looking like a competitor to America in the 2000's that the "China collapse" headlines began again.

Surely they could've found some doom and gloom stuff from when the Tiananmen fiasco was ramping up.

I'll speak on the one Zeihan video I saw. He thinks Russia will collapse because they lack skilled labor and the last generation of Russian engineers won't be able to maintain their resources anymore. They produce the most engineers per capital out of any country on earth. And it's high quality STEM graduates too not cheap degree mills, patents, and trash 'research' papers. After that one video I stopped watching him entirely.

Having less people solves a bunch of those problems

Nah what happened was the US didn't want China to buy Russian oil, then they did. Then Russia started to threaten the petrodollar. The US mostly buys surplus and manages an oil monopoly, China doesn't threaten that, Russia does, but the US doesn't want to threaten Russia because they can't. They paid off their debts around 2016 which is exactly when the 'trade war' started. What's the US supposed to do? Force Russia to change their exchange rate policy and participate in an oil mafia that benefits them in no way?
