Feel like nobody ever really talks about Oman
they don't have excessive oil money and vanity projects
they're politically neutral, don't take a side in sunni vs shia because they're a rarer type of islam
think it's mostly empty
>>213817005 (OP)Why don't they post here?
>>213817359impossible to be mentally ill in oman
>>213817005 (OP)There isn't much to talk about. They don't meddle much in international politics and they don't emigrate in huge numbers.
It's an authoritarian islamic gulf state with nothing but sand and a bit of oil.
Every country should aspire to be like Oman, no one knows about you, you live a rich. peaceful and developed nation. You get free education, free healthcare and subsidized housing from the government. You even get paid to go to uni. It’s a comfy life
been there for a while
It's honestly a based comfy country.
Developed and international enough not to feel like a thirdie state but its still small and not rich enough to be engulfed by inflooncers and budget richfags or passport bros.
Expat community is really small compared to other gulf nations, and the incoming tourists are typically better behaved
Though like any nation they need to compete so its likely they will have to become a budget UAE.
it was fun while the soul lasted
>>213817667They won’t become Dubai because they have a rule against big buildings and tend to limit foreign workers to like a 3 year visa
They also force natives to work jobs so they aren’t totally reliant on jeet slaves
My uncle married an Omani girl of Baluchi descent in Muscat. They're living in Canada right now though.
