Hey I'm Texan and I've always liked KDE. I remember setting it up on Slackware for the first time in 2005. Beautiful.

I had to reinstall Debian after a faulty upgrade to Trixie so I haven't really changed much yet. I'll probably get a better wallpaper eventually.

I'll consider it but I'm too used to my GNOME workflow. Although I think there's a "GNOME mode" now so maybe that'll help, if it's any good.

I use arch and the last time i had gnome on it had more memory leaks than an old grandpa. I prefer the way gnome does things with the lack of a minimize button, dynamic workspaces et al, but kde is just built better. Except the mail application, it can rot in hell.

What problem did you have after upgrading? I've had a significantly longer boot time, and I've booted into a fucked up login screen once or twice. I'm gonna go for a reinstall this weekend and see if that fixes it.
>>213826979
If you turn off automatic updates and notifications for gnome software, you can mitigate some of the memory issues, but it's still not perfect.
