what the fuck kind of AI bullshit is this?
US already has 240V power anyways, if you have a washer-dryer or an electric stove then you have a 240V outlet it's plugged in to.

>more efficient energy transmission
this is bullshit, neither the USA transport electricity at 110V nor India does at 220V, I would be insanely inefficient and practically impossible
I'm willing to bet there is not country where they transport electricity in a voltage lower than 10k
here is 7,2k 33k and 500k depending of the distance

it seems that most of these don't take into account that transformers exist neither three-phase power which is misleading

It means people have 220V in power outlets in India and in USA 110V. Do you Have 500000V in your power outlet?

Our standard outlets are 240v here in Australia but maybe the seppos have a better idea by using lower voltage. I know fuck all about electronics but I guess they have a reason for using less, I don't know.

It's 230v actually, but it's often 240. The only real advantage the NA system has is that it is easier and less dangerous to be shocked by the lower voltage. Still, like >>213828116 said 240v power made up of 2 phases of their 120v electrical system is a common thing.
