Overcompensating. Imagine you’re a Pakistani or Indian moving to anywhere in Europe. Anything your country has achieved (if it has achieved anything positive at all) is a mere speck of what these countries have done, you’re unattractive compared to the natives, and you will never truly be one of them if you try and if you don’t you’ll be hated more than you already are for refusing to integrate. Either way, none of them want you here nor do they view you as anything more than lesser. What option do they have than to become annoying nationalistic? Not that I agree with it.
