My theory is that americans love conspiracy theories so much because it distracts them from the grim reality that they get fucked over at every instance.

i actually read hancock in the early 2000s, he takes his theories from older more succinct conspiracies
he writes more simply so people fall for him faster but there was a time when conspiracies were enjoyable at least as stupid entertainment

he ruined it for everyone
