Technically under normal circumstances like when they're not close to a civil war and you're not some risky nationality like mine in Serbia, it should be quite safe. However, every 2 years or so there are 1 or 2 cases of some brutal killings or gunnings happening because they have a big mafia with sadistic psychopaths and a lot of firearms among the population.
