in america by 12th grade youd be taught:
beowulf times -> anglos saxons in britain -> battle of hastings -> british empire -> american revolution -> slavery -> civl war -> spanish american war -> ww1 -> ww2 -> cold war -> recent events

from 9th grade to the 12th, it starts from some ancient anatolian civilizations such as lydians hittites etc after that we see some central asian kingdoms/tribes also if i remember correctly they also taught us some islamic history basically how mohamed conquered everything. After that we see seljuks>ottomans>ww1> independence war>modern turkey>turkish politics in ww2>and some other modern political stuff and it is simply this

now as I'm older that I find it disgusting that the NSW school system looks at WW1 and upholds it as the founding of Australia.
But we don't cover anything about the Ottomans or federation or the Eureka stockade or anything between early colonisation and WW1.
