Brazilians are so brainwashed that they think burning down their Amazon is somehow “owning the west”, and that’s all they really care about. AFAIK the commonly held belief is that rainforest conservation was created by western nations for the sole purpose of stunting Brazil’s ability to become an agricultural superpower.
