Islam unironically, but in that case its kind of their fault, because Mongols mass converted to Islam when they were actually controlling Muslim nations. Muslims thought Mongols were a sign of the day of judgement, but somehow the Arab religion attracted Mongols.
So mongols, which were a single nation, got split. Several tribes started to identify as something else than Mongols and got Persiane'd.
The mongolia now is a buddhist nation and gets btfo by China and as a result they are given just a desert as their spazio vitale.
Boom, Mongolia becomes irrelevant.

Yes they are mostly Buddhist. Thats literally what i said lol Mongolia is a buddhist nation. However most racial Mongols identify as Muslim and dont live there
