No, actually it's a mainstream opinion to think Luc Besson's films are trash. In the end you get one side of the fence that loves Luc Besson which is basically mental retardation and the other side of the fence that never ever talks about Luc Besson's films for all the reasons that make him at least a bad filmmaker at worst a bad person.
But if you really enjoy cinema, just ignore Luc Besson. Just watch good films.
