Six hours of electricty doesn't really mean anything. But if this is true, it still is impressive guys and I believe that we will have a nice, civil, discussion in regards to these African women, right guys?

there's a little wheel with paddles around the circumference, the girls take it in turns pissing on it to make it spin, many hours of this creates enough electricity to power a small LED bulb

why do they always call it “invented” when they mean “built” >african girls invented a generator >african child invented a computer
is that nigerian english or something

Maybe it's just me but I find it kind of disrespectful to bundle them together as just "African" rather than their actual nationality.
Africa is fucking huge and diverse.

saying "4 girls from the wunga tribe of the ubuntu village" doesn't really work as a news article title
besides, as an outsider looking in you probably don't actually care about the specifics
if the ethnic identity actually mattered it would say so

It could just say they're Kenyan or Nigerian or whatever the fuck. Anyone reading would know they're African anyway.
To me it would be pretty fucking weird if a Swede did something noteworthy and newspapers just labeled them as "A European."

Is that supposed to be some kind of gotcha? The same could be said of slavic cunts or if I randomly appeared in Portugal or Spain or whatever.
Being unable to tell them apart just shows ignorance on my part so the media actually taking a role to educate me would be appreciated, no? Instead we're just content knowing it's "Africa."

Imagine if this could be scaled up, a city's waste could be processed into electricity. It probably wouldn't be enough to power the city, but its renewable energy and it would make electricity cheaper. So, it would never happen because the power companies are so greedy.

ok so i looked it up and >it uses more power than it makes >it works by electrolysis, using a battery to split the water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen, and then burning the hydrogen for fuel
its literally a school science experiment. impressive, but not worth anything more than a good grade.

No, I just think nationality is a more interesting label than whatever skin color or continent people use these days.
Wouldn't you say so, or would you rather we share our European philosophers?
I love our beautiful European temples and European tzatziki.
