Isn't drug trafficking more a matter for law enforcement since it's a criminal activity? Maybe I'm wrong but this seems like a "detain and interrogate" situation for the Coast Guard, using due process and determining the actual culpability of the perpetrators while also questioning them to ascertain the source of the illegal substances - not a "use the most powerful navy in the world to blow it up" scenario.

america's navy and coast guard aren't cucked like europe, whereas america's border patrol and national guard is vs europe's ground border with russia

Sure but why even have a coast guard if you're just going to deploy the navy, basically making your own coast guard redundant by rendering its responsibilities moot since you've now set a precedent for anti-drug operations to no longer be a matter of interdiction but summary execution?
