ノベルに集中できないなら、私は普通に好き放題アニメを観てて、それでアニメに飽きてからノベルに戻る

俺もそうしてたぞ、まだ学んでる時は
やっぱ大半のノベルゲーは後半に入るとちょっと安定するって言うか、つまらなくなるから刺激が欲しくて別のを読むのはそれほどおかしくないと思うし
まだ日本語流暢って訳じゃないんだからネイティブのように苦労せずガンガン読める訳もなくて余計読むのに時間がかかる
とにかくその時自分が一番面白いと思ってる奴を好きなだけ読んでいいんじゃないですかね
切り替えと言ってもそれは必ずしも悪い事じゃないしな、ゲームAを一時保留にしてゲームBをやったらそれはもちろんライターが違うし、設定もキャラも違っててそれで語彙とかキャラの口調やどの言葉が漢字で書かれてどれが書かれないとかも変わって来てお前自身の日本語力ももっとバランスを取ったもんになるんじゃないかな
結果としてどっちのゲームも最後まで読めず何年も後全部最初から読み直す羽目になってしまうかもだけど(N敗)
就職については何も言えないかな

Is there a chatbot that isn't a snowflake about porn? I read some doujins to practice Japanese (I'm not kidding, it's actually good practice) and ChatGPT just flat out refuses to explain the sentence in depth, whilst DeepSeek sometimes answers, sometimes say they "can't talk about that" or something in those lines.

if you're providing an explanation for the 凡ミス then だから fits afaik
if you're saying "oh look at that guy, he's clearly a noob" then だ works. if you wanted to type this then I'd have expected at least a period after けど

I've been making my own kanji flashcards but I picked up the RTK book to see if there's anything else I could be doing differently and Heisig says that you should only ever do "seeing keyword > recalling kanji" practice and never "seeing kanji > recalling keyword"

That's mostly how I did things this far (so I know how to draw the kanji) but I'd also switch it around sometimes since I figure kanji recognition is mostly what I'll be doing when reading, anyone know if it's counter productive during flashcard SRS practice?

just do shit like 同じ? oh 同 is the rune that means "same." and 同じ means same. it's also used in words/phrases like 同時に(at the same time), 同日(same day), 同僚(co-worker) and other shit. of course you'll later learn it's not "just" same (see 共同, 同棲, 同封, 同情, 同盟)

played yakuza 0 for like 3 hours. understanding what i'm reading is getting easier :) still a bunch of words i don't know or sentences i don't understand at first but i can mostly just play without having to look up everything.

I tried that and gave up because I kept mistaking kanji with similar radicals for one another (for example 適 for 遠), now I'm not doing RTK itself but kanji radicals study so I'm forced to pick them apart which lets me accurately differentiate them much faster, maybe some people pick that up naturally through vocab study but it wasn't working for me while this works like a dream

I can also write them by hand easily from memory now which is something I have a use case for

この場合「初心者丸出し」より「初心者」のほうが良いです。
なぜなら、元の文では以前の自分のポストが間違っていたことを指して「丸出し=みんなからハッキリ見える状態」と言っているのに対して、
「だから」を使ったほうの文では、
「『凡ミスと言えるかどうか』が判断できない」という新しい情報の理由として「初心者であること」を挙げていて、それが「丸出し=みんなからハッキリ見える状態」だというのは少し変だからです。

のような自然な言い換えもできます。
「だけど」は「だから」と比べると

「面目を失い」と言うことを避けたいなら、言い切らずに訂正したら良いんじゃない?「思うに」や「と思う」や「私の勘違いかも知れないが」などを言い添えたら間違えても何も恥がないでしょう?誰かが間違えた人を訂正したら「なるほど」と言い返したら皆が仲良しでもっと上手に日本語で話せるようになるでしょう?
これが礼儀正しいのやり方だと思う
いつも丁寧に話したらちょっと面倒だから勿論やりたくない時もあるので自分を責める必要がない

うん、そう思う。それに、彼はブラジリアノンの言いたかったことを誤解しただけで、
「だから」を使ったほうが場合もある(伝えたい内容は変わるけれど)。そういう意味では間違ってるわけではないと思う。

Well yeah that's obvious if you know the radicals, if you don't and try to learn vocab in Anki through common words decks without closely looking at each kanji you'll try to create shortcuts (like "swooshy L on the left holding a block tower topped with a short vertical line", which describes both kanji) which will invariably turn out wrong and keep you guessing unless you take the time to look at them side by side and take notes on the differences, which is pretty much learning radicals but with extra steps

Meanwhile knowing the radicals in advance means you know exactly what you're looking at and what to look out for, and know the difference between stuff like 土 and 士 or 夭 and 天 and can even guess the rough meaning of the kanji based on the pictogram

I agree with the bosnian anon, those are obvious only if you already know the radicals. For the longest time I did what he mentioned here: >>215719570

Shortcuts that kept biting me in the ass every time I looked at a remotely similar kanji.
Fixing it requiring me to do a mix of two things:
>Initial parts of RTK where the focus was showing the radicals alone, while hand writing everything on the order there. This took me around ~1 month of disciplined every day study, I don't think doing more is necessary.
>Every time I saw a new kanji during immersion, I took the time to look up its dedicated page in Jisho (i.e https://jisho.org/search/%E6%9C%B1%20%23kanji), and if it was formed by radicals that I wasn't too familiar, I would write it down manually as well.
This solidified the radicals in my mind and made it harder for me to confuse things around. Not impossible, mind you, but at least I'm not doing it every other phrase. I still try to write down the kanji that I get wrong if I have the time.
As a bonus, the exercise above also made me aware that Jisho has a feature of searching for words containing a certain kanji (https://jisho.org/search/*%E8%82%89*), which is pretty useful for helping you to make brain connections about kanji meanings and readings.

I still just see squiggles but it works anyways because the squiggles are kinda different squiggles. I did actually "study" the building blocks a tiny bit, but I ignored all the fake english names and just looked at them and said ok cool every time they showed up.

I do this sometimes with new kanji just out of curiosity. A lot of words don't really have any other uses so I dont care.
髑髏 and 傀儡 for example have practically no other uses than writing 髑髏 and 傀儡. I mean they might, but not any common enough to show up in any 和英辞典
