how were you able to move to Australia without a job already secured?

I was recruited by a mining company in Western Australia (heavy machine operator) and I wanted to try working both Alaska and Australia mining seasons but the jobs required forced vaccinations for COVID and I decided to no longer look for work in AUS or NZ.

I don't have a university degree and all the recruiters I spoke to sounded like it was more trouble than its worth to get into Australia without a job lined up even from the US.
