well firstly the teddy almost drowning was pretty scary, with the panicked noises of both the bear and the bird. And what I personally and many others found scary was the teddy at the end suddenly speaking and growling. He says "Beware of thin ice!". I think the bear talking is so unexpected because up until that point the characters don't talk only point and make noises.
