This guy is a fucking dumbass. I'm embarrassed to admit I actually used to watch his videos pretty regularly before it finally dawned on me that he's just bullshitting about subjects he has virtually no understanding of. He only comes off as informed and intelligent because he's a compelling speaker. People act like he's an acclaimed university professor when in reality he's teaching at some shitty grade school in Canada for Chinese kids.
Watch actual soldiers' accounts of war in Afghanistan or Ukraine or anywhere real modern combat is taking place. Combat is becoming increasingly divided into smaller and smaller units. This is both due to advancements in modern warfare systems making larger groups less effective as well as communication systems allowing smaller groups to receive and transmit information better.
The only reason you had one "manager" overseeing 20-30 guys in the past is because that "manager" was the primary form of communication between his "manager" and those 30 soldiers. Nowadays soldiers can literally just use their phones to communicate in active combat zones. Obviously there's going to be more "managers" when you have 10 groups of 4-6 guys that each have a designated leader.
