The first and only time I've ever been on a date was my senior year of high school. I went to see a movie with the girl I went to prom with (asking a girl to prom was an undertaking in of itself) because her friends told her that she liked me and that I should "ask her out". We didn't even kiss or anything, we literally just sat in the theater watching the movie and then I drove her home. Afterwards I stopped talking to her because I had to focus on graduating and getting ready for college.

I'm now 27 and haven't been on a date or asked a girl out since then. Needless to say I haven't had sex or kissed a girl either. I have the killer combo of zero self confidence and an undeserved inflated sense of self worth. If a girl shows any interest in me I either assume I'm imagining it or that I can do better than her. I've had women tell me I'm good looking but my brain refuses to believe them.
