Machines can't create wealth. They only transfer wealth and allocate it in new commodities which need to be sold to realize profit.

Herein lies another contradiction of capitalism.

As the capitalists are comepeled to implement machinery (to make production faster thus cheaper) but at the same time as other capitalists implement machinery too, the rate of profit tends to fall 'til it reaches 0 and economy stagnates.
