H1Bs have been a scam for awhile. I think when they were first introduced like half or more than half were chinese but now 75% are indian, 12% are chinese and 12% are from everywhere else.
there are like pay grade tiers in the regs and 60% of all H1Bs are either entry level or the grade just above entry level and all h1bs make less than the average salary for a given experience level in a given city
Trump also changed the H1B law so now there's a $100,000 nonrefundable application fee and the salary floor was changed from $60,000 per year to $150,000 per year. indians and leftists were mad and want to sue because like nvidia has 1,500 h1bs and 1,000 of them are from taiwan (the ceo is taiwanese, go figure) but I'd wager the vast majority of indians were on those pay grades where they were making like $60k or $75k and now they aren't really economically viable.
hell, even pro h1b faggots like musk said he liked indians because they worked 80 hours a week, didn't charge for overtime and didn't ask for raises
