I don’t really care tbqh and I don’t think you’ll find a lot of Georgians that really care about this or care about what Poland and others slavs call us for that matter. Persians called this place land of the wolves for example. And Vakhtang Gorgasali the King who founded Tbilisi as wolf head.
I don’t mind the term Georgia either, St. George has always been a huge figure in Georgia’s history. He’s the main symbol Georgians looked to during battles a kind of example of strength and resilience.
You’ll see him everywhere in Georgia. He’s on our coat of arms, there’s a big golden statue of him at Liberty Square. Almost every second church is named after him etc and so many Georgians are named Giorgi (George) because of him.
He’s the national symbol of Georgia.
Although it’s interesting how you changed it to Sakartvelo which means land of the Kartvels and what we actually call ourselves.
In my opinion all the names they call us are good names for different reasons.
