They have alot. But a lot of them are conservative chuds so the people that normally put minorities on pedestals don't like to talk about them.

Nobody likes Mexicans, everybody assumes they're anchor babies or the children of illegals and that doesn't fly outside of California or ny
They're seen as invaders, even if only subconsciously

Mexicans are a very humble people. Pretty conscientious in many ways. If a mexican wants to "move up" they do it by working hard, and hoping somebody will notice, and grant them their blessing to do so. There's a strong incentive to not rock the boat too much. As an example I heard of a mexican guy, who wanted to become a pilot, and he was scared what his dad would think and wanted his blessing to be ambitious and go for it. Of course he did but in his mind he was scared that he would be chastised for it. I'm trying to buck the trend of being really "safe" and doing more things myself, because I am a bit risk wary because that's what I was taught, to work hard and do things the right way. I remember telling my dad I was going to backpack across europe and I secretly had some little fear that he would chastise me for abandoning the family for a couple months. He didn't but the shame is my first instinct. It kinda lends itself to being a culture that doesn't seek to climb institutions rapidly; we love stories like that one janitor who created hot cheetos and people around him were impressed with his ideas and he was given a highly paid executive position.

I've noticed with indians it is way different. They enter a workplace and immediately look towards getting promoted. There is really no concept of some grace period where they try to keep their head down and humble before scheming how they can get a promotion. They act as if their life depends on moving up

desu I try to be more like that because 1, I worked under too many incompetent managers that I know I could do better, and 2, I want to be a winner in life. My father was stuck in lower positions, content with mediocrity and feeling like that is his place. But I don't want that for myself. I want to have a good life.
