I see no point in using different alphabets.
For example, khmer alphabet used in Cambodia and nowhere else? A single country using its own alphabet, fucking useless, noone will learn your alphabet.
Chinese? A system that's wrong from its concept. If your writing system is so vast that no-one can fully grasp it then your system is wrong. You do not need 200+ letters, whoever created it like so was a retard. You don't overcomplicate things, you simplify them.
Why doesn't everyone FORMALLY switch to Latin? They learn it anyway since English is taught everywhere around the globe. I'm not going to learn Asian alphabets or the Arab one, they will learn the Latin one.

And before anyone says
>why not abandon your language and just switch to English?
There are things in our languages that have no direct counterpart in English, there's no words for them like romanian "dor" or Finnish "sisu".
They can however be written and spelt using the Latin alphabet

Different scripts provide diversity and also you're under appreciating calligraphy as an art form.

They don't provide diversity, you could write an entire Cyrillic or Chinese text using Latin alphabet and it would make sense.

it literally wouldnt in the case of chinese because chinese & japanese rely on the pictograms to differentiate between words when context isnt available

im chinese ethnically but i agree, pictograms are retarded and caused us to lose A LOT of progress

chinks invented the printing press hundreds of years before (((gutenberg))) but realized that they had 2000 characters and a printing press was unfeasible. the inability to proliferate information may have caused us to lose centuries of advantage over the rest of the world

not to mention, with computers, typewriters and keyboards, the issue continued to get exacerbated. modern day chinks basically use pinyin which is just the sound of the word + a number for the tone. so you'll get something like nei4 ge4

Nigga, fuck off.
Most words have an equivalent in English. I'm not going to get lectured by the french about how I can't possibly translate triste and then tristful just exists.

You are a tsigan. Which has neither history nor future.
Unlike you, we Asians have millennia old ideologies and history.
We dont care what white/brown/black monkeys think.
We don't need some rootless gypsies to learn our languages.
We are a self sufficient race and dont need to prove anything to anyone.
We're actually planning to soon restore our runes and abandon the slave alphabet.

Idk why you think conserving languages is important but not writing systems, as if writing systems don't also contain massive nuance unique to their specific cultures.
I mean, look picrel, they're trying to get latin letters to do things that were made with a Chinese-inspired script in mind and it would be better if they did it like that from the start.

no, they don't
there are no ideograms in spoken language and yet people understand each other, i'm tired of this garbage argument
ok, the japanese have tonal stress and use ideograms as spaces? then fucking add another diacritic to the syllabaries and use actual spaces, you stupid fucks

>>216197873 (OP)
everything should be written in IPA, languages in formal context should be written according to the most prestigious accent in its current state or according to idiolects in informal context
it's not too hard, asians can learn useless ideograms so they can also learn IPA
