One of my biggest grievances is with (any) Sign Language not having a proper writing system. It definitely can be done, just no one's been bothered to make one yet. Naysayers will it wouldn't work but remember, for millions of years human language only existed in speech, only a few thousand years ago did it occur to people to write it down first as pictograms then it evolved into today's logographies and more phonetic scripts
