Communist and other radical revolutions succeed in Catholic and Orthodox countries like France and Russia because the people are not inoculated against vice by the Word of God. What do Protestant revolts look like? Magdeburg, the English Civil War, the Glorious Revolution, and the American Revolution. Were any of these justified? Highly debatable. Were they of a decidedly different character than those that took off in Cathodox nations? Unquestionably. The worst thing to come out of Protestant countries are Nazism and post-war market liberalism. You can say quite a lot about both, but are they “enemies of the west”? Highly questionable. Post-war liberalism didn’t even start to really go crazy until the agitation of Marxists in the Civil Rights era under the direct coordination of foreigners.
