No we have wacky dialects. Frisian is a language on its own. Limburgish is very different. In Zuid Holland and North Holland we have really weird dialects, like Katwijks, Aalsmeers, Volendams

10% of our country used to speak German, but we scared all of them to speak English because of the World Wars. Louisiana schoolteachers used to beat kids for speaking French.
