Most people don't care. Few bavarians dislike "prussians" (they mean all the other germans) because they got dabbed on hard in the 19th century.
I for one am a proud Prussian. >t.Rheinländer

I respect the Prussian King Frederick William I, also known as Soldatenkönig. His idea of physically selecting tall and physically strong men to serve in the Guard is great!
I also heard that there was much more order and subordination in the Prussian army than in the army in which I served in year 2005, which also arouses my deep respect.

The Potsdam Giants only were one battalion of a single regiment. And while this regiment was elevated to guard status 1713 by Friedrich Wilhelm I. the "giants" still were concentrated in this single battalion.
In 1740 this regiment was disbanded by Friedrich II. due to the high costs (the deliberate recruitment of "giants" was stopped even earlier) and only one battalion was kept.

Even today modern militaries typically keep unusually tall / large soldiers in positions away from the frontlines mostly because they don't want the enemy taking their huge corpses as trophies for propaganda purposes

Because we are a puppet state created to serve our masters overseas
Our masters are not interested in a strong, sovereign Germany, so we are taught at schools that Prussia was evil.
I hope that clears things up.

It was due to the fact that many recruits suffered from gigantism. Having a battalion of multiple "André the Giant" type people seems nice on paper until you realize that they also eat, drink, shit and have the health issues (probably even worse) of André the Giant. >>216675988
I was tought that Prussia was kickass.

Bastard Mazowiecki was too lazy to do it himself, so he outsourced it... >that feeling when one province complicates the situation for the entire kingdom

Konrad I. of Masovia wasn't lazy - he simply failed in his attempt to subjugate the Prußen tribes, got counterinvaded by them and in 1226 sought help from the Teutonic Order.

Like a fledgling, agricultural and backwards state that turns itself into an industrial power in 30 years and gets 14 Nobel prizes for scientific achievements, and then proceeds to fight almost single-handedly and nearly win over three world empires with a combined population of nearly 700 million people while having itself a population of just 68 million.
