Rabe worked for Siemens, thats true, but his reports weren’t “fake” they were corroborated by multiple independent witnesses with no affiliation to his business that were present in the Nanking Safety Zone (Minnie Vautrin, Dr. Robert Wilson, and George Fitch). Their diaries and photographs independently document the same atrocities Rabe described.

Hitler didn’t “snub” Rabe’s reports because they were fake. The Nazi government suppressed them because Japan was an ally at the time, and Berlin didn’t want to create diplomatic friction.

Rabe also wasn’t just some random arms dealer angry about lost business. He sheltered hundreds of Chinese civilians at great personal risk and was investigated by the Gestapo afterward for writing to Hitler about the massacres.
