And in reality daily bathing, except where there is natural hot springs freely available right where you live (and that is likely traditionally not very clean with so many using it), was not a thing historically anywhere for simple practical reasons. What is more probable is localised washing as needed, such as washing your bum, hands, and sponge bathing.
