Spite is one thing, malice is another. I'd definitely say the arm was out for malice, in parts at the very least. CDS Suika might've been deceptive with how she lead around Miyoi, but that's not really the same as the revel in bloodlust that the arm was on. That's pretty much the distinction to me. The arm was like Broly in DBZ, while Suika is definitely more calculated in what she considered. I'd even say that full oni Kasen as we see her in the manga isn't the "true" oni Kasen, it was a back-and-forth between hermit and arm Kasen for who gets to control the body. Eventually to succeed with the sealing, she lets the arm get full reign so she'll attack Reimu until she's defeats herself.
Also, since I read the manga not long ago, I recall Kasen mentioning that part of her hermit training was to recollect her life up until that point when she was speaking to Komachi. In that sense, it makes a whole lot more sense why she's searching for her arm throughout the whole manga. I can't recall the page right now, but that kind of detail puts things in a clearer perspective.

In the same way that Suika's ability to gather people is probably why she was able to actually lead an organization of Oni when according to the fairy mangas they typically don't last. At the very least, despite Oni being the most straightforward and forthright youkai per PMiSS, they've got some of the most subtle lore details.

There's no indication that she's really "fighting" for control with the arm either though. She fuses with the arm, makes it clear she has betrayed it and tells Reimu about onikirimaru. Then after Reimu's done realizing that she has it, she dips and the arm takes over. It's now cornered and basically left to fight a reinvigorated Reimu. The whole point is to reseal the arm so Kasen could obtain it for her training as a hermit IMO, even if the arm could just overrule Kasen (if only until they've both melded completely), she has already basically outplayed it and has no reason to fight it for control since the chance of Reimu sealing it would be higher if it was aggressive. I don't think the arm even knew about the spellcard rules (until it fused with Kasen anyway) so it would be taking things more seriously. I guess this is where her title as a treacherous Oni comes in because she betrayed herself.

I think the most nebulous thing about the floor plan is the 1st floor. The foyer/living room seems to have either a big entrance door, or two big doors. One leading to the storage and back into the house. We don't really know what's in the rest of the 1st floor. Anon, the gacha may be licensed by ZUN but it's not different from something like the Hello Kitty crossover with Touhou in that sense. If ZUN isn't involved in writing, it isn't canon. But I guess it works for fanon.

Do you think she's got electricity and running water? It's never really shown, but since Kasen could train Reimu at a place where water was falling I guess she has that at least. Main issue would be to get it to her house somehow, it's inside senkai after all so the lines/water would have to go underground through its entrance, probably from the kappa's place as origin.

I think it's interesting that Azmaya's SCoOW version of Kasen's design deliberately uses Onikasen's colors. In the manga where she meets Komachi >>49429347 >>49429359
She's also, based on dialogue at least, more or less facing herself again in a fresh way after fusing with the arm. I know it's artist headcanon, but ZUN won't really give us a continuation so I guess you could interpret this outfit change as her way of "fusing" into something better.

Well, to explain a little how I interpret the Ibarakis: to me, Kasen is kind, but dishonest (with herself), and not fully committed to anything; the Arm is serious and traditional, but inflexible and generally trying too hard to be something that can no longer exist; while properly rejoined Ibaraki-douji is well-adjusted, classy, and very sincere; so I figure a more traditional costume that embodies the rich clowning tradition would suit her best.
