Is it better or worse than Picasa? I'm reading up on that and people say the face recognition is really good (although I'll have to manually add the names of each idol since) which sounds like a boon for getting girls into their own folders, especially since Files2Folder broke a while back. And people say Picasa's viewer rivals Honeyview.

Allusion doesn't have any form of automatic recognition and you'd have to manually tag your pics, it's mainly meant for artists to organize their references, but it's easy to use, lightweight, has all you need for it to do, just needs you to put pics in a folder, and it's free and open source. Picasa afaik is just abandonware and I wouldn't trust my gallery on it. I personally just have multiple folders for the different girls, then use allusion to browse and tag them.

Picasa is dead yes, but the final version of it still works. I actually downloaded it to try, thinking I can use it to get the faces marked from my jumbled files and get them into folders. From there Allusion's booru-like tagging seems to be powerful for search etc.
With Picasa so far, it is almost manual tagging: you're given a face and asked to confirm or deny the guessed person, and then it tries to use that to sort. So I've been going through my organized photos to get the faces and names into the program and hopefully that makes it sort the people easily enough.
Cool thing is that it puts your named people into their own library, where you can then select all and move them into a proper folder in File Explorer.
Still, I'll be damned if it hasn't got a hard time distinguishing Japanese faces, or maybe my tastes are too similar but the only one it's mastered so far is Sawaguchi Aika and that's probably just from the sheer volume of photos. Keeps mixing up Monke, Takasaki Kanami, Ichinose Luna and Kikuchi Hina, somehow.
