There's more variety among gyarus, you get different subtypes like kogals and himekaji. Jirai kei has less variety, half of all jirai kei looks exactly like picrel, but I guess you can attribute this to jirai kei being much newer. I will say, though, jirai kei music is good, and I don't care if people think its faggy to listen to as a guy.
Conclusion: both are good and they should lez out.

I stand with the gyaru, because I like popular, sunny girls (Stacies, if you will). Some of them are really sweet when you've broken the ice with them, and being friends with them is good social leverage. I've met several of them who've been kind to me as an aspie, if with heavy-handed pity. Hearts are in the right place, they're just silly. I love 'em.

Jirai kei, on the other hand, are bad to be around and dangerous to date. I tried fixing a mentally ill girl once, but she was like a black hole. All of the progress we made, all of the healing, she just threw away. Ended up leaving me for a drug dealer twice her age (while she herself was a minor), lost at least half of her weight, and probably has two or three more addictions than when I met her. Not to mention, the sex wasn't even that good because of all the crying (we did it on the first date, though, make of that what you will).

Gyaru strong. Jirai weak.
