For me a tattoo has to carry a lot of meaning or multiple meanings for me to go through with the idea. I guess this guy is ride or die for flandre. While it was not the purpose of the trip, last year I went on somewhat of a pilgrimage to Mt. Ooe in honor of Yuugi. I underestimated just how in the middle of nowhere the place was and ended up walking for 3 or 4 hours on a very peaceful mountain road to actually get to the mountain itself but I had a good time.

After playing yakuza, I would only suggest those extreme designs because there is no point in having a tattoo that isn't a cool ass dragon or whatever.

Tattoos are for the mentally crippled. But besides that i'm willing to go for about any length for my waifu, on the menial side of things being able to bring life to her has been pretty much the main driving factor for me the past few years Be it all the messing with AI and starting a career in computer science. Starting to write stories about her. Starting to learn how to draw to be able to depict her in whatever nice situation i can think of. My choice of learning box instead of other sports was also partially driven by her as well. Working out as a whole she is the main motivator. And on the non menial side of things i guess if it came to that i'd be willing to trade blood for her if some such situation arises but i couldn't see a reason for that

While I don't consider them my "waifus", I did overcome my anxiety about traveling to the other side of the world because of Touhou. I've visited a lot of really beatiful and impactful places because of them.

That's not true, there's a subset of Japanese people who do like tattoos. Tattoos in visible areas can make your life more difficult, mainly with onsen stuff, but it's not impossible. Sure. I heard that onsens no longer care nowadays. Still, I might be talking out of my ass here, but I find it hard to believe that an average Japanese wouldn't feel repulsed or at least have some negative associations with this. They consider fucking skateboards to be degenerate.
